Dinky 965
Dinky 965 Euclid Rear Dump Truck. Near mint plus/boxed, with packing insert. Scarce with window glazing, plastic winding handle cuff and red-backed Logo. Harder to find picture box version, with packing. From The Nelson Collection.
Notes
This is the slightly later issue, made between 1959-61 with window glazing and a red-backed ‘Euclid’ logo at the sides. Such a fine Supertoy from Dinky’s heyday; surely every child from the mid 50’s-60’s remembers it well! Very difficult to find absolutely mint. The truck has a lovely, bright, light yellow, all-original paint finish, complete “Euclid” lettering, logo, and wording on both sides.
A few incidental marks only. Of course, there are the unavoidable marks where metal meets metal on the underside of the tipping section and rear corners of the cab roof. Mechanism for raising and lowering the tipper works well. Later issue with a grey plastic winding handle cuff.
The harder to find pictorial Supertoys box is bright and fresh. Puncture-free! Light wear and a period penned price on the lower half of the box. Pencilled umber on the box base underside.
Card packing insert is present too.
