Corgi Gift Set 16

Notes

A most popular and sought-after Gift Set from Corgi, this particular version is the first issue from 1961.

It comprises:

1) Ecurie Ecosse Transporter has a vivid metallic blue finish, shaped spun wheels, lemon interior and a light grey base. Sliding side doors, window glazing and a drop down ramp at the rear. Orange lettering at the sides. Able to ‘transport’ the three racing cars included with this set.
Condition: near mint with a several little marks,at some exposed edges etc.

2) 151a Lotus XI has a bright mid-blue finish, red seats, a scarce find with racing number 11. Driver.
Condition: Near mint with driver and intact screen. Few little chips. Complete racing number stripe. Box is crisp, clean and bright. Minor wear only.

3) 150S Vanwall in vermillion with racing number 25, driver, flat spun wheels with suspension.
Condition: Near mint plus, with just the occasional little mark. Box is crisp, clean and bright. Minor handling wear and a tiny fleck of surface loss.

4) 152S B.R.M. model finished in green, racing number 7.
Condition: Near mint plus. Few tiny marks and the cCorgi accessory wheel trims have been applied. Box is clean, bright and complete. Light wear.

Lift-off Lid Box is complete with original packing pieces. Rather worn now; lid has all four corners re-enforced. Age/handling grubbiness and wear besides.

Comes complete with the original inner packing, Slip and Instruction Leaflet. Some of the original wheel trims still on sheet too.
