Spot-On Presentation Pack 4a. Near mint plus - very near mint/boxed, with wooden packing block. Very scarce set from The Fenman Collection. Notes
Issued in 1963 and part of the impressive Tri-ang Spot-On range of models, all precisely to 1:42 scale. This scarce Presentation Set comprises four Sports Cars as follows:
i) 104 MGA in deep red original finish, grey seats. Wonderful unfaded finish with a pleasing lustre. Very near mint condition, with intact original screen. Tiny portion of rear number plate missing. Section of front number plate missing.
ii) 105 Austin-Healey in lemon finish, grey seats. Very near mint with an intact original screen. Just a trace of the rear number plate. No front number plate. Couple of tiny marks to the paint finish.
iii) 107 Jaguar XK-SS in metallic blue, cream interior. Very near mint condition. Incomplete rear number plate. Notably intact windscreen. Fine paint finish.
iv) 108 Triumph TR3a Sports in light blue with pale grey seats. Beautiful finish. Complete number plates front and rear. Near mint plus. Windscreen is loose now.
The box base is complete and very bright and showing minor wear only. Card is vividly-coloured. Traces of old tape on the underside which kept the lid closed. Small corner crumple.
All four car containing inserts are complete. The colourful central packing piece looks very fresh and bright.
Beneath this central section is the wooden packing block.
The box lid has bright vivid colours, although do note it has a discreet repair at a seam and a couple of small light scuffs. Minor rubbing/wear besides.
