Issued between 1971-72, this desirable London Transport Gift Set comprises:
1) Corgi 418 Taxi, in gloss black finish. In virtually mint condition.
2) Corgi 468 Routemaster Bus ‘OUTSPAN’. In unused condition, this detailed bus has virtually complete-complete labels/transfers throughout and includes both a driver and conductor. A chip to the numberplate area and a couple of tiny marks besides.
3) Corgi 226 Mini, in an attractive metallic blue finish. Lemon interior and blue-tinted windows. In virtually mint condition.
Policeman on point duty, with his white arm bands, directing the traffic on top of a plastic circular stand.
The polystyrene inner is bright, clean and intact.
The outer window box is complete and bright, with intact smooth original cellophane. Light age/handling wear includes the occasional little scuff.
An unusual Gift Set issued for just a short time by Corgi, and aimed at the tourist market.
