An exciting find! The owner tells us:
“I never saw one like this a second time in my collectors life. It may be a factory error or maybe an early first or pre-production car but ALL other Countryman models I held in my hands had silvered grilles”.
Issued between 1965-69, this popular Mini model has a sea-green finish, ‘wood panelling’, yellow interior, jewelled headlights, aerial, bright, intact chrome roof-rack with two surf boards, and surfing figure. Straight aerial. Body-colour radiator.
Bare metal baseplate (front bumper is bare too):
Spun wheel issue. Suspension is fine. Well-shaped original tyres.
Chip at a rear edge and a few mere dots besides.
The colourful pictorial box is crisp, clean and bright. Very fresh. Delightful Corgi Printed
