Notes
The Old School Collector tells us:
“The Octopussy Bus came from the bottom of a box I bought at the Lösch auction of Marcel Van Cleemput’s items. It matches with Dave Worrall’s description that they were made last minute because this one is labeled only on one side and you can still see the over-labelled BTA sticker underneath the Octopussy Sticker.
Only a handful of these buses were given out at the Premiere to special guests. Mr Cleemput kept one and forgot about this model since it was found at the bottom of a box I purchased full of his Corgi paperwork”.
A very difficult model to source – since few were made to promote the premiere of the James Bond ‘Octopussy’ Film in Leicester Square, London. In unused condition with bright and clean ‘Octopussy’ promotional labels on one side. All other paper labels are very fresh and bright too. A few tiny marks only to the paint finish.
Fine example of a very scarce promotional model:
The generic window box (no special box was made) is complete and intact with smooth original cellophane (tiny puncture). A little handling wear. Pristine card inner with original fixings to secure the model to the plinth.
