Notes
An early commercial Dinky model, with a first type cab, fawn cab and back, red chassis, small unpainted hook. Issued between 1947-48 only. Lovely lustre shows minimal handling.
Closest scrutiny reveals a few subtle touch-ins to the fawn sides. Minor rub or two on one side too. A little tarnishing to the base. Tyres run well, spare stowed (although a few little surface cracks now).
The early buff box is complete and strongly-coloured. A few little edge nibbles to one end of the paper label. Factory ‘R’ stamp at a lid end. Light wear and rusty staples. Period price label. Quality Control stamp (faint) on the underside of the base.
