Notes
What a delightful accessory from Dinky!
Issued between 1960-64, this Service Station makes a superb display piece especially in this complete condition with all parts authentic and intact.
This Service Station Kit comes with twelve windows, two blue plastic roller doors, six window frames and the still-sealed bag containing metal rods, screws, nuts and bolts.
Finished in attractive blue, red and cream with ‘DINKY TOYS SERVICE STATION’ in unrubbed bright print. Small blemish to the cream plastic above the clock detail.
The sturdy outer box is complete with no splits. The deep blue base in particular has barely any of the usual shelf wear and the colour is especially vibrant. The lid is bright too although there are a couple of areas of surface loss and a pen mark. Minor handling grubbiness, and a crumple at the top edge. Original owner’s name has been written on the inside of the box lid and then scribbled out at some time.
Instructions for assembly are printed on the inside of the lid.
