Nicky 113
Nicky/Dinky Toys 113 MGB Sports. Metallic red issue. Early issue with wheels & tyres. Very, very near mint/boxed. Scarce. From The Cumbrian Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A virtually mint example finished in a rich metallic red, including the interior, with original silver details, driver, steering wheel, and intact screen. Early issue with separate tyres and wheels.
A pleasing MGB model.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) has fared better than most. Really fresh, clean and bright and thankfully free of the usual ‘white edges’ or heavy tears that plague these comparatively flimsy boxes.
