Notes
With such a fine sheen on this most eye-catching of Dinky commercial trucks, this rare version is tempting for any serious Dinky collector! Finished in brightest red with a nicely contrasting light grey back with blue “DINKY SERVICE” lettering, window glazing, and red cast wheels. All original condition with complete ‘Dinky Service’ lettering on both sides.
This late colour combination is usually found with plastic wheels.
Complete, original and in working condition. Upon close inspection, you will see the occasional small mark. Barely detracts!
Untarnished gloss baseplate. As-new original black knobbly tyres. Metal winding handle. Later versions would have a matt base, plastic winding handle cuff and of course, plastic wheels.
The bright and complete yellow box is tear-free, with light wear/grubbiness.
Bright staples. Small lightly-pencilled number at an end flap.
Quality Control Tag is included.
You could wait a long time to find another as fine!
