Nicky 186
Nicky/Dinky Toys 186 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE. Scarce SILVER version. Very, very near mint (with original RS price label)/boxed. From The Rickman Collection. Purchased by the owner from a collector who had a contact in India.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A virtually mint example finished in a vivid (non-metallic) red with original silver details, off-white interior, black steering wheel, and intact window glazing. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
The first we have ever offered for sale in this colour finish.
Shiny black base.
Virtually mint condition.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) has some of the usual wear (for this range). Light edge rubbing and a few small handling tears.
