Issued during 1966-69, this sought-after Gift set comprises:
1) Rarest version of Corgi 261 James Bond’s Aston Martin, in toffee-gold, with light tan ejector roof interior. Bright red interior. Both figures. Very near mint – one roof edge chip. Suspension is fine.
2) 310 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Very, very near mint.
3) 314 Ferrari Berlinetta, red, racing number ‘4’. Bright spoked wheels with suspension. Intact racing numbers and Ferrari logo. Well-shaped tyres. Shiny chrome details. Very near mint, although lacks the rear exhausts now.
4) 324 Marcos Volvo. Spoked wheels. Green racing stripes. Very near mint.
5) 325 Ford Mustang Competition. Detailed cast wheels. Lacks suspension on one rear wheel. Near mint plus.
This set comes with the still-sealed bag of traffic cones, 2 sets of racing numbers. a full Secret Instruction Packet, Model Car Makers To James Bond in PORTUGUESE PRINT (1st we have seen) and the Corgi Club Membership Form.
Polystyrene tray which is uniquely formed for this set is, bright and clean. Very fresh indeed.
Outer box is complete and strongly-coloured.Intact original cellophane (original glue is starting to dry out in places).
Tear at one side seam. Handling wear/rubbing and a few small flecks of surface loss .
An exceptionally difficult set to find in any condition.
