Corgi 261
Corgi 261 James Bond's Aston Martin D.B.5. Very near mint/boxed. 2nd issue model, plinth & box. With still-sealed Secret Instruction Packet. From The Old School Collection.
Notes
One of the most popular Corgi models ever, issued between 1965-69.
This 2nd issue James Bond Aston Martin is in all original condition with none of the reproduction accessories, rife with this issue.
The car is fully functioning, complete with both figures. It has a lustrous bright gold finish – a most attractive example:
A few small probably as-made tiny marks only.
Suspension is fine on all four wheels. Original tyres are as-new. Bullet shield has a full gold-sheen, so unused.
The 2nd issue plinth with SECRET INSTRUCTIONS’ arrow is complete, crisp and bright, with both pull-out end tabs. Vivid colours on crisp, rarely handled card.
Tiniest wear at a wheel slot.
The Instruction Packet is still factory-sealed and so inside will be the all-important Secret Instructions which detail the retractable machine guns, opening roof and ejector seat, rear bullet screen and telescopic over-riders.
All have been tested and work perfectly! The packet will also contain the unapplied 007 badge, and the spare villain.
The 2nd issue outer box has strong colours Note that since it is 2nd issue there is shading detail around the lettering ASTON MARTIN DB5 on the box face and a black border around the JAMES BOND’S lettering. A beauty – with crisp, resistant end flaps and an as-new feel. Tiny wear only.
