Dinky 100
Dinky 100 Lady Penelope's Fab 1. Very near mint/boxed. Sought-after 1st issue. Complete with still-sealed packet of missiles. From The MBU Collection.
Notes
Inspired by the Gerry Anderson Thunderbirds T.V. series from the ’60’s. This Fab 1 model is finished in non-fluorescent pink, the earliest issue with the pink stripes on the clear sliding roof.
Gold interior and both original seated figures of Lady Penelope and Parker. It comes complete with an intact bonnet emblem, jewelled headlights and both front and rear number plates. Version with small circular detail on the wheels and a more protruding central section. Occasional tiny mark away from mint.
The sliding roof is perfectly intact and slides nicely. The car comes complete with a firing rocket and four rear harpoons (still in sealed packet, factory- stapled to the card stand).
The colourful card stand is crisp and bright, although there is some rubbing to the black card where the car sits (this is a heavy vehicle). A few tiny tears at wheel slots.
Instructions are on the reverse of the card stand, detailing how to fire the front rocket and rear harpoons.
The pictorial card box is clean and bright with vivid colours.
No tears! Hard to find this good. Light wear only. Period price label on a non-picture side (possible to remove if wished).
One of the most sought-after Gerry Anderson inspired Dinky models!
