Notes
An exceptional example of this most popular Dinky item, from a private collection purchased new at the time and never played with.
This is the most sought after early issue, first made during 1967 with pink stripes on the clear sliding roof.
The model is finished in non-fluorescent pink, with a gold interior and both original seated figures of Lady Penelope and Parker. It comes complete with an intact bonnet emblem, jewelled headlights and both front and rear number plates.
The sliding roof is pefectly intact and slides nicely. The car has a firing rocket and four rear harpoons, kept in the original clear plastic bag, no longer stapled to the card stand. Lovely and bright throughout, there are a couple of negligible tiny pin pricks on this model and is in our opinion one of the nicest examples you will find.
The colourful card stand is very crisp and bright with none of the usual wear at wheel slots. Virtually shop-fresh. Instructions are on the reverse of the card stand, detailing how to fire the front rocket and rear harpoons.
The pictorial card box is in superb condition – very crisp and bright with vivid colours. Just as if you have just picked it up off the toy shop shelf! Shopkeeper’s price label is still attached to an end flap.
One of the most sought-after Gerry Anderson inspired Dinky models! A sound investment and a joy to own.
