Dinky 512
Dinky 512 Guy Flat Truck. Near mint plus/boxed. Rarest version in dark brown and green. From The DC Collection.
Notes
Such a scarce 1st type issue (1947-48) in this colour, with its rear axle located in tin clips, and no triangular lugs at side of the number plate. It has a lustrous brown cab and chassis, mid-green back and wheels. Small hook. Bolt fixing and baseplate are shiny and rust-free. Bright silver radiator and lights. Paint finish is vibrant and glowing. Complete with spare wheel.
Upon first and even second glance, this truck looks mint. Upon closest scrutiny, one may see a couple of discreet touch-ins at two wheel arches. Area of rough casting head-on.
The correct early buff box is very nice indeed – fresh, bright and the card feel sturdy and crisp. No splits or graffiti. Paper label is vividly-coloured with minor wear only. Not easy to find a box as nice!
