Corgi 437
Corgi 437 Superior Ambulance on Cadillac Chassis. Red and cream version with AMBER Indicators. Near mint/boxed. With leaflet. From The Smith Colleciton.
Notes
The owner tells us:
All of the models from The Smith Collection were bought by the same young boy on a weekly basis when they were released, and kept by the same collector unplayed with and in many cases never taken out of their boxes, right up until the present day. Rather unusual for a lad to buy toys and not play with them but he was a collector from a very young age!
This early issue Cadillac Ambulance has a shining, original deep red and cream paint finish. Produced between 1962-65. Suspension on flat spun wheels. Well-shaped original tyres.
One of the delicate window transfers has a small piece missing on one side, the other has a little edge wrinkle.
Version with amber indicators and red roof light.
Little silver ‘overspray’ above one set of headlights. Little edge curl to one of the side transfers ( hard to see if there is any loss without straightening this out).
The card box is complete and bright. Light age/handling wear includes a very small start of a tear. Model specific Instruction Leaflet which incorporates a Corgi Club Membership Form.
