Corgi 1116
Corgi 1116 Launcher For Bristol "Bloodhound" Guided Missile. Very, very near mint/boxed, with all packing, Rocket Age Leaflet & Corgi Club Membership Form. From 'The Smith Collection' - one owner from new models.
Notes
The owner tells us:
All of the models from The Smith Collection were bought by the same young boy on a weekly basis when they were released, and kept by the same collector unplayed with and in many cases never taken out of their boxes, right up until the present day. Rather unusual for a lad to buy toys and not play with them but he was a collector from a very young age!
Issued between 1959-61 and part of the popular range of ‘Major Pack’ military models. This model would be used for firing the ‘Bloodhound’ Guided missile available from Corgi at the same time. The launcher has a matt military green finish with a cream and silver base, very bright metal parts. Nice example! Completely unused.
Couple of tiny marks only.
The colourful lift-off lid box is intact and brightly-coloured. Both upper & lower packing pieces are included, along with the Rocket Age Booklet and an early ‘Moorgate’ Corgi Club Membership Form.
