The owner tells us:
All of the models from The Smith Collection were bought by the same young boy on a weekly basis when they were released, and kept by the same collector unplayed with and in many cases never taken out of their boxes, right up until the present day. Rather unusual for a lad to buy toys and not play with them but he was a collector from a very young age!
This attractive Corgi rally model has a bright mid blue finish with a white roof and bonnet, and complete crossed flags on the bonnet. Shiny shaped spun wheels have suspension, ‘thin’ racing number 1 on both doors, jewelled headlights.
None of the usual little ‘nibbles’ at roof edge which could spoil the appearance of this racing Mini. Little mark on the front bumper. Small raised casting dot on the driver’s door.
The pictorial box is clean, bright and complete. Couple of light handling creases/wear. Corgi Club Membership Form is folded inside.
