The owner tells us:
All of the models from The Smith Collection were bought by the same young boy on a weekly basis when they were released, and kept by the same collector unplayed with and in many cases never taken out of their boxes, right up until the present day. Rather unusual for a lad to buy toys and not play with them but he was a collector from a very young age!

This is an early example with an intact tin canopy, and transfers on both sides ( a few nicks on one side and a tiny nick on the other). Flat spun wheels (non-suspension issue). No rust on the tin canopy and a very nice bright baseplate. None of the usual rubbing of the ribbing on the cab roof and a the paint has a glossy finish. Original treaded tyres are well-shaped.

Little mark on the front bumper and a tiny mark on one side.
The box is complete with all end flaps intact. Crisp. Light storage grubbiness. Comes complete with the original packing piece and an early ‘Moorgate’ Club Membership Form.
