Dinky Gift Set 245
Dinky Gift Set 245 Superfast Set. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce set from The DC Collection.
Notes
A difficult set to find particularly in this condition.
Issued between 1969-73, with plastic tabs to secure to the close to pristine inner, this fine 3-piece set comprises:
i) 131 ‘E’ Type Jaguar has a metallic copper finish, pale blue detailed interior, plated wing mirrors and intact number plates front and rear. Finely spoked silver cast wheels. Intact white plastic aerial. Opening doors, bonnet (detailed silver engine), and side-opening rear hatch. Tiny chrome wear, otherwise hard to fault. Strung with the original yellow plastic tabs to the inner.
ii) 153 Aston Martin DB6 has a distinctive blue-green finish spoked wheels, intact ?H? number plates at both ends, bright bumpers.
In virtually mint condition. Note the plastic tab although present is loose since the original elastic band is rather perished now.
iii) 188 Jensen FF has an original bright yellow paint finish, detailed black interior and cast wheels. Opening bonnet and doors, number plates. Jewelled lights. Front and rear number plates. Strung with the original yellow plastic tabs to the inner.
Vivid orange-yellow card inner is close to perfect. Really fresh and bright although do note the scuff to the card in one small area immediately behind the Jaguar.
Colourful and fresh window box is a treat! Tiny wear only, and note the original cellophane window is a little loose in one small place due to the glue drying out. Unpunctured.
Very nice set!
