Dinky 140A
Dinky 140A Austin Atlantic. Very rare version in red and maroon. Near mint/not individually boxed. From The East Netherlands Collection.
Notes
Probably the rarest of the Atlantic colours, this version in vivid red with maroon interior and matching wheels is surely one of the best surviving examples; indeed, only the second we have ever offered for sale.
This model has such an outstanding gleaming original finish! Smooth-running original tyres too.
A little chip at the top of the windscreen and a couple of smaller chips on the driver’s front wing. Bright original silver trim. Minor edge rubbing to the raised silver body lines at the sides.
Shiny base has minor ‘spidering’.
Under the closest scrutiny, one will find three dots of retouching on the driver’s door and an additional stroke of paint on the inside top edge of the windscreen.
A remarkable find, this version rarely comes to the market place.
