Notes
Issued between 1950-52, this model has a deep, vibrant red paint finish with complete detailed transfers on both sides and above the cab roof (note that the lettering ‘LTD’ above the cab roof is a little smudged now).
Early issue with ridged ‘car’ wheels. Later issue would have ‘Supertoy’/ grooved wheels.
Under magnification a few little retouches can be seen.
Base is very bright (minor ‘spidering’) .
The early blue box is strongly-coloured with no tears or repairs. Note the surface scuff at one short lid end. Small piece of the paper label is missing at this site. Period prices at one lid end. Light age grubbiness.
