D914
Dinky 914 AEC Articulated Lorry 'British Road Services'. Metal 'button' wheels issue. Very near mint/boxed (wear, but complete) with Leaflet. From The Daylight Collection.
Notes
Originally purchased by the owner from a collector who enjoyed touring toy shops in the mid 60’s & early ’70’s buying models that appealed to him. If he could find a bargain then he would buy multiple examples of the same item. His collection comprises Dinky, Corgi and several Spot-On models.
Fine condition, classic Dinky truck made between 1965-70. The vivid red and palest grey finish is all original throughout. Bright jewelled headlights, intact ‘British Road Services’ lettering above the cab. One little mark at a wheel arch and a few dots to the raised details on the grey sides.
The trailer has complete ‘British Road Services’ lettering on both sides. Bright clean plastic detachable tilt.
With Instruction Leaflet:
The full-colour pictorial box is complete and bright. Some of the typical wear that one often finds with boxes of this era (card is so much flimsier than the model it contains). Handling scuff at the tuck-in edge of one large end flap. Pencilled shopkeeper’s price on one non-picture side.
