D978
Dinky 978 Bedford Refuse Wagon. Dark grey roof box, black plastic wheels & interior. Very near mint/boxed, with both original bins, including the lids. Harder to find FULL COLOUR SCENE on picture faces. From The 25 Year Collection.
Notes
This classic Dinky truck was issued for some sixteen years in total (1964-72), this being a difficult issue to find. Bright emerald green cab, light grey back and black plastic hubs. Black interior. Model is in unused condition but no REFUSE WAGON labels at the sides (factory omission?). Complete chevron label at the rear. Perfect crest transfers on both sides of the vivid green cab. All delicate rear opening shutters are intact and function well, too.
Minor mark or two and one of the wheels is a little mis-shapen ( common fault since the plastic can react to the tyres).
Both plastic bins are present, with lids.
The harder to find late issue end flap box has a full colour scene on both picture faces – first we have offered for sale in a long time! Attractive backdrop for the truck when on display! Vivid with a crisp feel. Small end flap tear and a tiny puncture which is hard to notice has pressed back into place.
