Notes

The first we have ever offered for sale, this attractively packaged five-piece Gift Set from 1958 comprises:

1) 24B Peugeot 403 in mid-blue, with shiny convex wheels. 2nd issue with towing eye on the shiny baseplate. 24B stamped. Cross-hatching under the roof. Well-shaped white tyres. Very near mint.

2) 24C/522 Citroen DS19in green & ivory, with window glazing (hard find).In excellent condition only with several flakes of paint at sides.

3) 24D Plymouth Belvedere in light grey & red. Bright plated convex hubs, white tyres and a shiny baseplate. Very near mint (little rough cast at the sides in places).

4) 24E Renault Dauphine is finished in brick red (and quite distinctly different from the raspberry red issue which has a more ‘pinkish’ hue). Plated convex hubs (minor flecks of tarnishing visible upon close inspection), bright baseplate. Original tyres run well. Cluster of chips at a front wing. Near mint.

5) 24Z Simca Versailles in dove grey-blue with an ivory roof, plated convex wheels, white, well-shaped tyres, shiny base. Version without a towing eye on the baseplate. Cross-hatching on the roof interior surface. Nice example. Very near mint.

Pristine deep yellow card insert with no tears at the wheel slots for the models.

Colourful and distinctive lift-off lid card box has minor wear only including light rubbing in places. Colours are vibrant. No graffiti.

A rare find.
