We are especially delighted to offer this scarce original Gift Set for sale.
The set comprises:
1) Corgi 318 Mini Cooper ‘S’ in bright red finish with a white roof, jewelled head and spotlights. In near mint plus condition, with complete racing number ‘52’ on both sides. Complete Monte Carlo labels on bonnet and boot (little as applied edge crease to the bonnet transfer), shaped spun wheels with suspension. Sump guard has a small tarnished area.
2) Corgi 322 Rover 2000 in lustrous metallic maroon finish with a white roof. Graded very near mint. Complete Monte Carlo labels. ,Racing number ‘136’ on both doors ( one has the tiniest of edge nicks). Shaped spun wheels with suspension, jewelled headlights and “Trans-O-Lite” lights. Tiny mark at the rear bumper.
3) Corgi 323 Citroen DS19 in pale blue finish with a white roof. Virtually mint condition! Shaped spun wheels with suspension, jewelled lights, intact aerial on the roof. Racing number ‘75’ on both sides, Rally labels on bonnet and boot. Exceptional fresh condition on this model.
The colourfully-illustrated detailed card plinth on which each car sits is in clean, bright and fresh condition. Barely any wear and most of the push-out slots where the cars sit are still in situ.
Notably, this set comes with all the original packing pieces i.e. the white card surround for each model and the white card packing piece which is placed on top of the models. Remarkably, original tissue, albeit torn in sections, has survived. We have never seen this set with original tissue wrapping.
The pictorial all-card outer box is complete and bright. Minor age grubbiness in places, – at the top seam edge on one side for example – and light wear besides.
No tears or graffiti.
