N962
Nicky 962 Muir-Hill Dumper Truck. Near mint/boxed (wear). Scarce model from The Reference Collection.
Notes
Sought-after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
Another first for QDT!
This rare model has a deep yellow finish, with lighter yellow metal ridged wheels, well-shaped original tyres. Original plastic driver figure. Metal steering wheel and swivelling seat. Shiny base has Dinky Supertoys embossed.
Inevitable marking where the tipping section meets the lower half of the model (metal against metal), and the occasional mark besides.
The correct end flap box with S.Kumar & Co Calcutta printed is complete , although understandable wear and tear due to the comparatively flimsy card of the box.
