Early version with white hoses, all of which are still in one piece, although fine crazing/minor part-splitting as one might expect for a set some 60 years or so old. So often these rubber hoses perish, so this set has been well looked after and stored. Day-one bright colours on the contents too, with all delicate parts intact and authentic.
Note that this is the version with the plain oil bin. Minor age wear to the front edge of the lid of the oil bin.
The yellow inner is complete fresh and bright with none of the expected wear and tear at the slots.
The most attractive lift-off lid pictorial box is in close to perfect condition with some of the original little pieces of tape in place which would have kept the lid closed. Small rubbed area where a period price has been largely erased at some time.

Small side tear at one of the cut-out thumb slot at one side of the lid.
