Notes
An exceptional example of this most popular Dinky item, this is the most sought after early issue, first made during 1967 with pink stripes on the clear sliding roof.
The model is finished in non-fluorescent pink, with a gold interior and both original seated figures of Lady Penelope and Parker. It comes complete with an intact bonnet emblem, jewelled headlights and both front and rear number plates.
The sliding roof is perfectly intact and slides nicely. Note it has a small scuff (as-made) on one side. The car has a firing rocket and four rear harpoons, kept in the original clear plastic bag, no longer stapled to the card stand.
Lovely and bright throughout, there are a couple of negligible tiny pin pricks on this model.
The colourful card stand is very crisp and bright with tiny wear at wheel slots. Virtually shop-fresh. Instructions are on the reverse of the card stand, detailing how to fire the front rocket and rear harpoons.
The pictorial card box is in superb condition – very crisp and bright with vivid colours. Just as if you have just picked it up off the toy shop shelf! Opened carefully just once by us to take these pictures.
One of the most sought-after Gerry Anderson inspired Dinky models!
