Notes
A fine, barely handled example of this three-part military Gift Set. From 1957 (Dinky stamp inside the box lid).
It comprises:
1) Dinky 688 Field Artillery Tractor, in very near mint condition with spare wheel and tow hook. Military green finish, brightest baseplate. Squadron markings. Very near mint (mark at front bumper and a couple of small marks besides).
2) Dinky 687 Trailer or Limber, in close to mint condition, with expected marking at the tow ring and a couple of tiny marks besides.
3) *Dinky 686 25-Pounder Field Gun, in very near mint condition with just a little mark or two.
All housed in a strongly-coloured, early lift-off lid display box. Traces of the original tape which kept the lid closed. Light wear. Includes the original card packing piece, too!
A core piece for the Dinky military collector.
