Corgi Gift Set 3

A most desirable Corgi set – and so difficult to find in this condition! Carefully handled and stored and looking as if the contents have rarely been taken out of the crisp, clean and bright box. Just two owners from new.
One of the best surviving examples – and this particular version rarely comes to the market place, let alone in this exceptional condition.
The set comprises:

1) Batmobile in gleaming gloss black finish with both original figures of Batman and Robin. Tow hook version. A particularly difficult find with authentic bright red tyres, silver wheel detail. Gleaming chrome, bright gold parts. Correct that this version has less pointed rear fins and very bright gold parts. Couple of small marks if you really hunt for them. Suspension is fine on all four well-shaped original red tyres. Obviously, a completely unused example.

2) Batboat sits atop the gold trailer with cast wheels. Complete with both seated figures of Batman and Robin. More desirable ‘tin fin’ version (later issues were plastic). Virtually mint condition.

Complete with a bright carefully opened Secret Instruction Packet which contains full sprue of missiles, badge and note the rare Gift Set 3 Specific Instruction Leaflet.

Both items sit in a very clean and fresh polystyrene inner.

The rare 1973 issue box is correct without header card. Colourful and crisp with unfaded colours. Remarkable fresh and bright condition with smooth, original unpunctured cellophane. Minor tear low dow at one end flap edge. Light wear.

An exceptional set from this collector – one of the best examples you will ever find.
