D412
Dinky 30J/412 Austin Wagon. Deep mid-blue issue with paler blue wheels. Very near mint/boxed. Very fine! From The BST Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1954-60 in four different colour finishes, this deep mid-blue version may not be the rarest but it is one of our favourites! A striking and eye-catching truck on display:
2nd issue with smooth tyres and no number on the base:
Such a lustrous sheen to the paint finish – a real gem. Complete and intact original radiator and headlight assembly with original detailing, contrasts nicely with the deep mid-blue finish. Obviously a cherished piece that has barely been handled.
Yu may find a couple of small light raised body line rubs if you want to.
The pictorial box is a fitting partner: complete, bright and fresh, with all end flaps and no tears. Correct, in the print, colour spot at the end flaps too. Crisp with lots of end flap spring.
