N050
Nicky/Dinky Toys 050 Police Car. Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce. From The Eric Slager Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A close to mint example finished in metallic red and white, with original silver details, pale grey interior, steering wheel, and intact screen. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
Light surface grubbiness at the virtually complete-complete POLICE letters. Shiny black base.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) is complete and clean. Usual age/handling wear and small puncture has pressed back into place. Small seam tear and a little area of surface loss at a non-picture side. Creasing.
