N170
Nicky/Dinky Toys 170 Lincoln Continental. Lemon with a bright red roof (only) version. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce. From The Eric Slager Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A close to mint example finished in lemon with a red roof (only) with original silver details, off-white interior, steering wheel, and intact window glazing. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
A little as-made blemish to the rear screen and a couple of tiny dots to the paint finish. Shiny black base with ‘NICKY TOYS ’ and ’LINCOLN CONTINENTAL’.The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) is colourful, clean and complete – with a little of the usual edge rubbing and an area of surface loss at an end flap.
