N142
Nicky/Dinky Toys 142 Jaguar Mark X Saloon. Metallic Emerald Green version. Very near mint/boxed (wear). Scarce. From The Eric Slager Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A very close to mint example finished in a rich metallic emerald green with original silver details, off-white interior, steering wheel. Original sliver details. Black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
Complete with original blue plastic suitcase.
A few very small marks.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) is colourful and complete. As is so typical of these flimsy boxes, there is some wear and tear, with 2 re-attached small end flaps and re-enforced small end flaps too.
