A first issue example from 1947-48 only, in the scarce maroon and black finish.
Model presents well with a fine sheen.
Chipping at a front wheel arch and minor marking besides.
Correct early box with a bright and complete paper label. No splits or repairs. Card feels sturdy and shows careful occasional handling wear only. Shopkeeper’s period price label on one end. This colour finish is a difficult find in any condition.
