A rare early model to come to the market-place, and especially difficult to find boxed.
Issued between 1962-66, this Swiss export model has a striking yellow and black finish, with virtually perfect – perfect ‘PTT’ transfers at the sides. Early issue without opening doors, no glazing, silver (not jewelled) headlights, spun wheels.
Couple of very minor marks and a few tiny touch-ins are easily overlooked ( visible under magnification).
The plain yellow card box has the correct print i.e. ‘Auto Suisse VW’ and ‘Schweizer Postauto VW’ at an end flap. Two end flap tears and a little age/handling wear.
