CGS27
Corgi Gift Set 27 Machinery Carrier & Priestman Shovel Gift Set. With unusual CAST WHEELS. Very near mint-very, very near mint/boxed, with Leaflet. In END FLAP WINDOW BOX. From The Scandinavian Collection.
Notes
Issued toward the end of the production run (1963-72), in the window box, this Gift Set comprises:
a) Corgi 1128 Priestman Cub Shovel. Occasional minor mark to the paint, intact original black rubber tracks. Complete ‘Priestman Cub’ transfer at the side, rear transfer is complete, too. Mechanism for raising and lowering the jib works well. Cab containing driver is glazed.
b) Corgi 1131 Bedford TK Machinery Carrier. Unusual to find with cast wheels – and indeed the first we have offered for sale with these particular detailed cast wheels ( more often found with shaped spun wheels and less frequently with cast ‘spoked’ wheels).
Complete with both wing mirrors, (including both little reflective ‘mirror’ pieces). Black detachable rear axle and moveable ramps. In virtually mint condition.
Intact bright and fresh polystyrene tray in which both models sit.
End flap box is fresh, clean and vibrantly-coloured with scene on the reverse. Intact original cellophane. Small corner crumple and a little tear at this site. Residue from a price label. Very minor wear besides.
Original leaflet is included.
