A fine, barely handled example of this three-part military Gift Set. From 1958 (Dinky stamp inside the box lid).
It comprises:
Dinky 688 Field Artillery Tractor, in very near mint condition with spare wheel and tow hook. Military green finish, brightest baseplate. Squadron markings. Mark head-on.
Dinky 687 Trailer or Limber, in very near mint condition, with expected marking at the tow ring.
*Dinky 686 25-Pounder Field Gun, in very near mint condition with marking at the tow ring.
All housed in the close to shop-fresh, early lift-off lid display box.Note the small area of surface loss at one lid side and box base underside due to the removal of original tape which kept the lid closed.
A core piece for the Dinky military collector.
