Issued between 1934-35, this endearing Hornby Train Gift Set comes complete with all parts in intact, original condition, looking largely unused, so well preserved. Colours are vivid throughout and this set comprises:
1) 21A Midnight Blue/red Locomotive, excellent plus
2) 21B Green & mid-blue Open Wagon, near mint
3) 21C Green/blue Crane Wagon, very near mint, with hook
4) 21D ‘SHELL’ Tank Wagon, excellent plus
5) 21E Lumber Wagon In blue, red & brown, near mint plus
Safely enclosed within the sturdy cream card compartments of the box lower.
This deep red plain Modelled Miniatures lift-off lid card box is generally clean and brightly-coloured with minor handling wear, bearing in mind its age (rubbing and wear mostly at edges). Period price label at one lid side.
A charming set which has survived well, being 80 or so years old.
