Notes
A desirable Gift Set and a difficult find in any condition, this fine nostalgic set comprises:
1) 260 Royal Mail Van in very near mint condition. Presents well with a pleasing lustre and unfaded colours. Royal Mail lettering and crest at both sides are virtually complete – complete. Bright baseplate. Couple of tiny marks to the paint finish. Well-shaped original tyres.
2) 261 Post Office Telephones Van is in very near mint condition. Deep original shining paint finish. Lettering is complete on both sides. Complete crest on one side, very nearly so on the other. Bright baseplate has white paint daub.
3) 750 Telephone Box is a super, virtually mint example, with a bright original red and silver paint finish.
4) 011 Messenger & 012 Postman are in very near mint condition with vibrant original colours.
Attractive card outer box is complete and brightly-coloured, clean with minor wear, which includes a small area of surface loss at one lid side, due to the removal of the original tape which kept the lid closed. Period price on the lid and at one lid side. Some of the original tape at sides.
Pictorial insert is complete. Note some little repairs.
