A impressive fresh, clean and bright original lift-off lid card box for Dinky 504 MOBILGAS Tanker. This particular example was issued during 1954 when the product number changed fro 504 to 941 (note the shopkeeper’s inked re-numbering at one lid end as well as the period dollar price.
Strongly-coloured throughout with a complete paper label and showing minimal wear. Card feels crisp and has been well-stored , although there is some of the near inevitable rusting at staples.Note the original, complete and bright U.S. export label H.Hudson Dobson at one lid side. Remains of old tape which kept the lid closed. Unfaded colours throughout and that includes the deep blue portion of the base not covered by the lid.
