D153
Dinky 153 Standard Vanguard Saloon. Very, very near mint/boxed. Cream early issue. Lovely box! From The BST Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1954-60, this model presents so well with a shining deep cream finish with cream hubs, closed in rear wheel spats, and smooth black original tyres. ‘Vanguard’ cast on the underside of the roof. This model presents well with its classic lines – not even a trace of a roof rub!
One of the best examples we have seen.
Bright baseplate has minor ‘spidering’, and but the smooth original tyres are well-shaped.
Correct that this early issue has no rear light detail and has smooth tyres.
The box is intensely crisp, showing minimal handling. Correct colour spot ( a cream colour spot was never printed by Dinky for this model).
