D159
Dinky 159 Morris Oxford Saloon. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce example in cerise and ivory with cream ridged wheels. From a lifelong collector in Devon.
Notes
A classic Dinky model issued just during 1954 with a shining cerise and ivory paint finish, cream hubs. In all original condition with a shining silver trim.
Obviously unplayed-with and carefully handled, this fine model has a little rough casting in places. Stray flick of silver paint at a front wing, factory sweep of paint at the point on the bonnet where cerise and cream meet.
Bright baseplate and shiny axles (including the ends) too. Smooth-running original treaded tyres.
The pictorial card box, displaying the correct two-colour spot, is clean and bright with minute handling wear only.
These two-tone classic Dinky cars are becoming increasingly scarce and have proven to be an excellent investment.
