Notes
A very rare find – and the first example we have ever seen let alone offered for sale. This Big Bedford Lorry has a pink cab and chassis with a mid-tan back, cream wheels.
Understandably, we have scrutinised this model very carefully indeed and noted that this a genuine item with no signs of tampering (with this model, the back is secured by means of the rear axle and this has not been removed in order to switch).
We surmise that this was a factory error piece or at most, a very, very short run.
Closest inspection will find the occasional small mark and note that there are a couple of subtle sweeps of well-matched (later) paint at a rear wheel arch and nearby on the chassis side.
The striped ‘DINKY TOYS’ box is bright and intact with no splits or graffiti Period pencilled price at a lid end and nearby the original red colour spot (no special pink colour spot was made).
