D905
Dinky 905 Foden Flat Truck with Chains. Red & Grey. Rivetted issue. Near mint/boxed. From The Reigate Collection.
Notes
Made between 1957-64, this model was made towards the end of the run with a rivetted back.
A most attractive truck which presents nicely, with glossy red and grey finish, straight posts with original chain, rounded chain post bosses and grooved metal ‘Supertoy’ wheels.
In all original condition.
Occasional small chip at some wheel arches and note that the cab head-on has extremely minor sunfading now.
The eagle-eyed (or those with a magnifier at hand) may note a typical factory flick of paint covering a stray dribble of factory silver above the radiator (this is a perfect colour match too and conforms precisely to the slightly rosy hue that this area of the cab has developed over time due to exposure to light . Another light flick of factory paint nearby too.
The Dinky Supertoys striped box with sloping (italicised) Supertoys print is clean and vividly-coloured throughout, and that includes the blue base. A little of the usual shelf rubbing on box base underside .Small storage crumple to the base. No graffiti. Shiny staples.
