Notes

A rare find indeed.
This Taunus model was made for export to the German market only between 1967-68.

This * close to shop-fresh example* has a white and deepest green finish with ‘POLIZEI’ labels on both doors and boot. Blue roof light. Bright original aerial (couple of tiny rubs)). Shiny wheels with white surround. Brightest unrubbed chrome at bumpers and fresh, clean and complete number plates, front and rear. Complete ‘POLIZEI’ lettering throughout.
Obviously barely handled. Fixed to a pristine plastic and card ‘Roadway’ base with small card packing ring which fits over the roof light.
Perspex top has the black Dinky Toys label which gives information about the real car (interestingly the Ford Taunus achieves a maximum speed of 84 m.p.h.). Largely unmarked (so often these perspex tops are found heavily scratched or split).

Rare to come to the market place – this is surely one of the best surviving examples.
