This is one of 2 unique colour trial Corgi models purchased by this collector at Bonham’s Auction House in December 2009, and part of the property of an ex-Corgi employee.
The production version of Corgi 302 Hillman Hunter Rally Car would be finished in mid-blue with a white roof and back bonnet. This colour trial version has a sky-blue finish with white roof and black bonnet. Labels are applied, opening case on the roof, bright chrome details, suspension on cast wheels. Jewelled rear light. No other rear light details at this stage. Note too, that at this stage, no spare wheels are attached to the roof, although the insert for them is in place.
