Made by Taiseiya, a Japanese company, and part of a very small range of models issued between 1961-65.
This VW Export model is finished in deep sage green with a deep turquoise interior. Chrome trim. Smooth metal wheels with white rims and original well-shaped treaded tyres. Suspension is present on all four wheels. Little bend in the front axle. Tinplate base.
Model is 10.5 cms. in length.
In close to mint condition. Small dark mark on the roof (may be possible to clean off). Occasional tiny mark besides.
Lift-off lid style box has a plain corrugated card wrap-around lower with a thinner card pictorial lid. Fine condition throughout.
